The day after the war moot, after all my work was finished. As usual, I walk down the hall, down the stairs, and into the basement pool area. I head for the cleaning supplies stored in the closet. Getting a clean sponge and filling the bucket with hot water, I return to begin cleaning the walls and floors. "You know I looked up to Kara until right after the moot yesterday. I'm expected to respect my elders, which I do most of the time, but Kara showed me no respect. Our laws say to respect those beneath you, but......." Sighs as I continue cleaning the floor. "The moot was a war moot and now we are under a banner of war. In preparation for the upcoming struggle I wished to cleanse my body both inside and out, so I said no to any alcohol offered to me. Kara pulled the 'Are you telling your elder no' card. I know I'm Fianna and drinking and partying is in my blood, but still. I want to be clear minded and focused on the task we now have. The sooner we eliminate our target the sooner the war banner will be lifted. You got to be focused to see your target." Moves further down cleaning. "So I insisted on not drinking and moved away from Kara, and I've been avoiding her since. Am I wrong for do that?" Stops cleaning to look at the water in the pool waiting to see if the spirit responds.

The water within the pool stirred, and rippled. The form of the water spirit, Vitrious, rose up from the hotel's pool. His presence manifested in the physical realm. His shape was human like. There was a head, a torso, and appendages but no distinct features. He spoke, though his words in the Garou tongue were somewhat garbled...like someone trying to speak with a mouthful of water. "Respect freely given can be the easiest to abuse, for those gain it have down litte to earn it. Respect that is gained, is treasured. It is tricky, though..." The spirit tone turned thoughtful. "...It is like a river that can flow both upstream and downstream."

"To see a river that flows both upstream and downstream would be a marval to behold." Finishes up the rest of the cleaning and returns the bucket to the closet and throwing away the sponge. Then goes to lay on the ground next to the water, staring at the ceiling as I talk more. "If I had come here and heard you speak or saw your current form before I went through my first change, I would be running from here screaming and thinking I'd gone crazy. But, since I have gone through my change and I know about the real world around me, I am glad I have you to speak to. I can speak my mind without any retaliation. I do not have to see you in the form you're currently in, I would prefer you in a more comfortable form."

"Form is but a matter of perception. How you percieve yourself. This much is true for you as it is for me." Vitrious turned, and shifted. The water about him rose, and he grew. The water spirit shed his current shape to eexpand beyond the form of man. He, now, resembled a Garou in his warform. Then, with the same grace and ease, he shrank back to a man form.

Raises up my arm and looks over my hand. I turn it over, spreading my fingers and closing them again. It appears as though I'm studying my hand and arm, trying to look past the material form. My mind drifts deeper into a meditative state over the statement. After some time I try to exert some change other than changing forms to occur. (Like visibly seeing gnosis or trying to get my hand to change form. I will keep trying for the next 30 in-game minutes.)

Shifting specific parts of the body was a possible, but required great deal more concentration than normal shifting. With concerted effort, one could cause just their hand to shift while the rest of their body remained unchanged. However, it was not easy to do at a moment's notice, and only those who were strongly tied to the Wolf could perform these shifts with ease.
With concentration, Brandon could cause his hand to change and keep the rest of his body the same. It wasn't as easy of transistion as normal shape-shifting...it felt strange...unfamiliar. It harkened back to the first experiences of learning the forms.
