To set the scene and get this ball a-rollin... Jonas pulls the man from the back of the Camero that Kara has borrowed from Darwin, and places him on the floor of the van. Bethany begins to work with a hot iron on stemming the blood flow from his stump of a right wrist. The smell of cooked pork fills the van as Mia hops in the front passenger seat (quickly rolling the window down). Ana takes the helm and sets a course to a warehouse for one of the construction teams owned by Jonas, who by now, has placed a breathable sackcloth over their detainee's head. The Ebon Storm departs from Firecracker Mechanic's house with their new, unconscious friend.

Jonas gives a look to Ana through the rear view mirror, she know where they're going. She drives deliberately and obeys all traffic laws. There is no need for reckless haste. She heads west on Highway 20, towards a warehouse that no one will be bothering for a good long time. No one says a word for the trip. Words are unnecessary among family.
Upon arrival, Jonas hops out and opens the loading bay door, waving the van inside. He then comes around hauls the man out of his seat and into the building, taking him to a the lower level. Ana and Mia start setting up tarps and curtains in a room in the basement. Bethany sets to making a spot for the detainee to sit inside the makeshift tarp enclosure. The recording devices are aimed and the show gets off to a slow start...

Ana finishes taping down a portion of tarp and stands up, stretching and looking at the unconscious prisoner. She nods at Jonas as she walks upstairs and outside - this will be a long night, and she wants to look on Luna's face and breathe some fresh air before getting down to business.

Jonas walks outside with Ana, leaving Bethany and Mia to watch for signs of consciousness. "I'm a firm believer that we won't have to lay a finger on this asshole until it's time to dispose of him." Jonas winces and notices Ana's nose scrinch up. "That was a poor choice of words, wow, that was...yeah...anyways, I'm thinking we won't have to cut on him too much, just show a willingness. That would be for the best. I'm a fan of psychological extraction over just physically beating him. The council is worried about us courting the Wyrm through torturing this guy. I think it's for the best that we're taking this project, rather than FM or any of the others. They're too close to the situation. I don't think they could hold back. I think you're going to bring a quick close to this so we can all be back in time for breakfast with City Mother."

After a few minutes the one-handed prisoner begins to stir and groan. Murmuring drowsily, his head bobs from side to side.

Jonas tells the members of his pack to keep all communication among them in the tether of their minds as he pulls his ski mask down and parts the tarps. "Good morning, sunshine! Did you enjoy your nap? I hope you dreamed of pleasant things. You have been up to some unsavory activities...I would like to know more about them. Tell me, what have you been up to?"

"Hmm, now I see that you think that you have spirit and will and conviction, but I assure you, I am a business man. One thing I have learned is that everything is for sale, everything is open to negotiation, everyone has a breaking point. Are your employers so magnanimous that you are unwilling to tell me the things I want to know? Could it be that there is honor among thieves, even baby killers? I must say, that might change my Libertarian ways, but we'll need to discuss this more, you and I..."
Jonas pauses to pull a couple things out of a paper bag including a phone book, a bottle of Early Times whiskey, a box cutter, a couple poppers of smelling salts, an onion, a hammer, a box of nails, a gag, and a box of matches.
"...first let us talk on benefits. What did you get out of this? Did they give you health insurance? What were you promised?"

"Oh, but you have everything to win...so you lost a hand. That's the price of doing business, it's the state of mind and body you leave here with that counts."

"So, there are more of you? Interesting. How did they tell you this would play out? Besides, are you really willing to go through with this for a concept you do not truly comprehend? I believe that if you did understand the events surrounding tonight, you would not be sitting here in front of me. I seek to know what you know, perhaps we can take the road less frequently traveled to find truth. Now, I'm sure you'll posture, but in your situation, those break quickly. Especially when it really sinks in what the definition of the phrase 'disavow knowledge of your activities' really means."

"In the end..." Head rolling over to one side, and then straightening up again. "It doesn't matter...the results are the same. As soon as they realize what's happened, they'll come send me home."

"You sound a little down about that. Well, I can't say that I blame you. Home sounds a lot like dead to me, the way you say it. Is that what you want?"
